A list of my favorite craft books, mostly focused on structure, character, and genre fiction. I earn a very small commission when you buy through this link, but please don't feel obligated to get them this way. Many, if not all, of these are available through your local library.

Use this link ONLY for the free, public critique of query letters found on social media. If you want to have me edit your query letter or pitch package privately, please see my editing services tab.

Tips and donations are always appreciated. This is time consuming work, and I appreciate any little bit you can pass along.

Watch this space. Big changes happening in 2026.
